Day 1: Arrive in Anadyr. Walk around the town, see the cathedral and find out the history of Chukotka.
Day 2: Leave by the local fight for Egvekinot (1 hr). Explore by foot the town nested between the mountain range and the Bering Sea. Visit the Local Lore museum to learn about Chukotka's exploration, ethnography, geology and GULAGs.
Day 3: Travel by the Russian Army off-road bus to Amguema, a national Chukchi settlement (90 km, 2 hrs). Cross the Arctic Circle on the way. Get on the caterpillar vehicles and head for the reindeer herders' camp in the open tundra (3-6 hrs). Arrive at the herders' and enjoy the hospitality of the local Chukchi hosts. Stay in yaranga (traditional reindeer skin tent).
Day 4: Spend the day outdoors with Chukchi hosts and experience the lifestyle of the herders. Go to the reindeer herd by foot or caterpillar. See how the herders pick the reindeer trained for sledding. Learn to harness the deer and try reindeer sledding. Help the women around the household or try your luck in ice-angling, traditional way. Enjoy the communication with the Chukchi hosts, traditional meals and night in yaranga.
Day 5: Head by caterpillars back to Amguema and further to Egvekinot. Appreciate the warmth and comfort.
Day 6: Walk in the scenic surroundings of Egvekinot (weather permitting) or go a trip on the ice of the Bay of the Cross to see how the locals do crab fishing. Workshop in Chukchi handcrafts.
Day 7: Travel by caterpillars on the Bering Sea bay to Ueikal, a settlement of Eskimo sea mammal hunters. Be hosted by the local cultural club. Taste the national snacks and enjoy the performance of the traditional Eskimo dance by the locals. Spend the night in the sleeping bag.
Day 8: Full day trip by caterpillars to Anadyr (1 70 km), magnificent tundra views on the way. Rest in Anadyr.
Day 9: After a leisurely morning, meet the dog musherand get introduced to dog sledding. Farewell dinner.
Day 10: Depart Anadyr by flight to Moscow and further home.
